Misson 11 or how to hull breach in 10 seconds (Help!)

Help! I'm at mission 11, and after finally destroying the sat (it took me5 or 6 goes) I get to the jump gate and am blown to bits! Please help. I'm getting hell frustrated.

I have the Order VHF really goods sheilds and am generally as tough as I can be at this level. So any tips, hints or hand holding would be great.

Buy a torpedo launcher and take 50 or so torpedoes. Do some quick maneuver and fire runs at it.

I did that. Still got cut to shreads. Is it even worth going after the weapons platforms?

It just seems that the Liberty Navy ships ignore my sheilds. Making life very hard!

Heh, I had the same problem..they just kept eating me alive. It's kind of cheating but the only way I got through it was that I realized that nomads don't have missles to cut out your curise engines...

In other words put yourself on manual flight..cruise mode and fly evasive manuvers until you're buddies cut them down to size a little. Then jump in and help finish them off. Also save you're torpedos/missles for the after you get through the gate..you will need them.
