Unknown Jumphole

I think I was in the system called "Omicron Theta", when I found an Unknown Jumphole. On going through the jumphole I was confronted with nothing except loads of enemy Sabre's. After a couple of tries I managed to destroy the wave of them totalling about 10 that attacked me as soon as I went through the Unknown Jumphole. After detroying them, I came to a full stop and powered down, on scanning the area to see what was being shown to dock with. I only showed two Enemy Platforms. So I headed towards them with the intensions of detroying these, and then exploring the system further. When I was confronted again with about 12 more Sabre's. In which I did not survive the attack this time, because I had used all my "Sheild restore generaters" in the previous attack from them.

Hence I did not get the chance to explore the system to see what else it might of contained. Anybody here got any idear's what this system is called, and what it contains.

I can say that from my short trip in this sytem. It seems to contain nothing but Sabre's ships only! And they seem to be pretty good fighters also!

Sidenote: there are NO Sabre's in neither of the Unknown systems....

It's Omicron Alpha. Didn't you check your map? System name reads at the bottom. For some reason the OTheta hole is "unknown" and doesn't get marked on the map. The hole back is labeled correctly, though.

I did say: "I think I was in the system called Omicron Theta". I was'nt 100% sure. But I can asure you is was called "Unknown Blackhole", and it was full of nothing but Sabre's.

yes, there is an unknown jumphole in omicron theta, it is surrounded by dead outcast sabres. Nomads patrol the area, and if you go through , you are taken to an "unknown" system, that is a dead end, and i still lhavn't figured out what its there for, except it seems to be a sort of test that the designers used when making the game, because one of the planets is listed as one name, and it has the "junyo" planet information on it, so it looks like a sort of easter egg they left in the game. There is one other unknown jump hole also, but i can'tg remember where it is at the moment. anyone else who has figured out what these are for, i would love to know

I've completely explored all the outer sectors in my Crusader!

With the exception of the really wierd pink system where the radiation eats your armor away before you get far in.

There are several systems like the ones you described Gary only I can't remember which is which. One is full of Sabre's and the other is full of Titan's and in both you are dead meat if they hate you and you are in a low level ship.

What I did was stop at one of the Freeport stations and pay 120,000 to become friendly with the Outcast's. This enabled me to travel those sectors with only minor problems. The good part is those systems are full of wrecks and I made 2500,000 credits in 3 hours just pulling level 8-10 guns of them.

I'm now on my way to the race at the Hood with a cool 3 million in the bank!

Well you have probably been to it then. Because I do have a bad rating with the Outcasts. So that would explain why they hammered me good syle!

, And seeing as I only had the Hammerhead at the time with Level 8 Shields. I did do quite well in taking a quite a few of them with me. Now I have the Eagle with level 10 Shields, and Level 10 Weapons. I would still get my ass kicked, but at a much bigger cost to them now. I will have to sort my rating out with the Outcasts. Because I had to fight my way all the way through Onicrom Theta against the Hammerheads. It get'sa bit much when its wave after wave coming at you every 3 minutes.

Hey I've got a neat tip here. If you hang aroung the stations. And listen to the Radio contact with other ships. You can hear some of them say: They are on there way to Onicrom Gamma etc, You can just target the ship then, and chooose the Formation Icon to follow them to the Black Holes etc! Thats how I found Onicrom Gamma. But the same method can also be used on other systems too

I just flew a search pattern through every system with my scanner set to stations. All jump holes and wrecks display on the map when you get close. I'm not sure of the distance but I have been more that 10k away when they registered.

Getting friendly with the outcasts is imperative if you want to enjoy exploring the outer systems. They come too often to really enjoy fighting them all the time.

It's not like an occassional encounter they attack every few minutes and with the radiation eating away at your hull you just can't afford to waste your nanobots all the time.

If you have one of the best ships you can go to that system I was talking about. Not the one with the monkeys but the all pink one with the nomads. I have no idea what is in there because my hull got eaten away after only a couple clicks.

OMICRON THETA does NOT contain the Unknown Jumphole that leads to the nomad system. The "Unknown Jumphole" in Omicron Theta leads to the Outcasts system OMICRON ALPHA. Like someone already mentioned, its not labeled in Omicron Theta!

The only two systems with jumpholes to nomad systems are Omicron Alpha and Omicron Gamma. Only the Omicron Gamma jumphole leads to the nomad system with the two easter egg planets!
