Only place to buy Dromedary

Is the Hacker "Mactan" Base the only place you can buy a Dromedary? Can I mod my server to make it available elsewhere?

afaik it is the only place. didnt look exactly though.

and yes, it is possible to edit your server, just take a look in the editing forum

I'll look into the server mod, will mod'ing an existing server mess up the game?
If this option doesn't work, anyone know how to get on the good side of the Hackers?

There is a bribe available in Kepler at the Ames Research Station. Don't remember how much I paid...

Anyway, I paid the bribe and now I can get me a Dromedary!

Check the ship catalog. It's the largest cargo hauler in the game. 275 units! The challenge is the only place that sells it is Mactan base, which is controlled by the Hackers.

btw iirc I saw it aswell somewhere in tau ... though not sure, did not care, mactan is anyway closer and if your friendly with outcast your anway friendly with hackers

That's not a Hacker bribe. It's a Zoner bribe.
