Spoiler Forum FAQ-Read first before posting
I thought I'd make this so that people don't have to keep asking and answering the same questions. Hopefully this includes correct information, but if anything needs to be changed/added/subtracted, feel free to note the new/corrected info.
Where can I find the Titan/Sabre/Eagle/Etc?
-Click here and click on the ship you want to buy. All the details and locations where you can purchase said ship are available for viewing.
What station/planet/etc buys (insert commodity name here) for the lowest price and what station/planet/etc buys it for the highest price?
-Click here and then click on the commodity you are interested in. A list of the prices at each base will show up. (Currently there is no indication whether or not the station sells the commodity at the quoted price.)
Which system is the such and such base/planet in?
-Click here and a list of all the systems and the bases/planets that are located in that system will appear. Scroll down and click "next" to view the next page of systems and bases. Clicking on the base/planet name brings up the list of prices for all the commodities at the bases/planet, and what ships (if any) are sold there.
How do I mount/dismount weapons in my inventory?
-You must be docked at a base. Head to the equipment dealer, and bring up your inventory. There are little "gears" that appear in the upper left hand corner of each item. Clicking them when they are interlocked dismounts the item. Clicking them when they are apart mounts the item. Note you must have an available hardpoint that can mount the class of weapon/shield before you can mount the item.
Where do I find class 10 weapons? Where do I find class 10 shields?
-You find class 10 weapons by shooting abandoned/wrecked ships that are hidden throughout the game. Usually they are in the later systems, such as the Omega and Omicron systems. Class 10 shields can be purchased on Planet Malta, Planet Crete, Leon Base, and Atka Research base.
How do I get stuff off of abandoned/wrecked ships that I find?
-Target the ship and fire a single weapon at it. When you hit it you should see things fly off. Tractor them in and voila, they are yours. Try not to fire all of your weapons at the ship at once since you may destroy the goods that will come off of it. If nothing comes off on your first shot, nothing is going to come off.
Where is the sunslayer torpedo launcher?
-You can purchase the sunslayer torpedo launcher at Bruchsal base in the Frankfurt system. The base is a Bundschuh base, so you must not be hostile to them to land there, and probably have to be completely neutral or friendly to purchase the torpedo launcher from them.
How do I get the Zoners/Corsairs/Outcasts/Unioners/Any other faction to like me?
-Click on their name in the faction listing, and check out who their enemies are. Slaughtering their enemies gradually increases their liking of you. Also bribing the right people can increase your standing, for a price. Taking missions from the group you want to like you can increase your standing as well, but you must be neutral with them in order to take missions.
What's this I hear about a monkey/robot planet?
-There is an unknown jumphole in the Omicron Gamma system. Taking it will lead you to an unknown system that has two planets, as well as Nomad ships. The two planets are a monkey and robot planet. You cannot buy ships, buy or sell commodities, or buy equipment there. You also cannot take missions from them.
How do I get Nomad weapons?
-The Nomad weapons are class ten weapons. There are two types, Nomad Blaster and Nomad Cannon. You can get either of them by destroying Nomad ships around the two unknown jumpholes or in the two unknown systems. The two unknown jumpholes/systems are in the Omicron Alpha and the Omicron Gamma systems. You must be around level 34-35 to have the Nomads drop weapons for you.
What is the best ship? Eagle/Titan/Hammerhead/Sabre/Starflier?
-It all boils down to personal preference. Choose your ship based on what you like. Technically, the Titan has the highest hull rating and therefore could be considered the most "powerful" ship, but yet has a rear-facing only turret, which could be seen as a drawback. Once you get that far in the game you can probably try them all and decide what you like the most.
