Hi.... just recently purchased Freelancer.... I have a question.
When you 'switch to target', in you display in the bottom left.... it comes up with like a blue print... where you can select wings, different weapons, spoiler... etc.... What does this actually do, what is the function? I was thinking it lets you target individual parts.... but im not sure:S.... I know that king asks you to disable some guys engines in an early mission..... i jus dont know:s
So, what is the meaning behind the schematic?

It does let you target certain parts of a ship, for instance to disable the guy's engines. I'm not sure it always works. If you're lucky you can also use it to shoot off guns and other parts whic you can sell but I'm still not sure if that is due to targeting the weapon or not. It might just be what gets left after the enemy has blown up.
