Race Bug.. help!
Okay, before you superior pilots start flaming me:
I'm a great pilot and a great FL player. I have multiple level 30+s on various servers.I'm good at this game and finally started the SP game when all my favorite MP servers have recently been full. If I can do every level and every goal of Tony Hawk 4 I'm certain I can do this.
I'm on that dumb race level. I have a New London Heavy Fighter, pretty maxxed out for what I can currently do in SP. Problem is, I wait for the cutscene in this level, start the race, get to almost the first gate, and then the **** always rams into me and calls foul on the race.
I've tried it about 20 times now. I don't even have a chance, regardless of my mouse abilities. Start, engage cruise engines or afterburner, hit the 1st or 2nd gate, and whammo, slammo, disqualified. Either my save game is jacked up or I have some sort of homing signal on my craft that makes him slam into me while my engines are about 70% charged. I don't want to restart the whole game (if it is a save game issue) and am sick of trying this silly puzzle when the end result is always the same. Hand eye coordination ability is not the issue here, it's now about bypassing an obvious problem with the game.
So.. how can I skip over this stupidity? I know it's not my reflexes/manual dexterity/mouse abilities. If it worked correctly, I can't imagine that I couldn't solve it in 3 or 4 tries.
I'll be more than happy to cheat my way past this obviously bugged puzzle, if someone can tell me how.
