Yes, I believe that was part of optimizing the entire webiste. We give up the serach engine to provide better overall performance of the site.

I believe ultimately this will be self-defeating... think that people are going to the search page to find information. If they can't do that, they're going to start another thread. Eventually, the forum will end up with a million "where do I find FighterX?" threads.

I know searches are processor-intensive, but they are a very valuable part of any forum. It's too bad TLR doesn't have it anymore.

Man - there was a reason you know... Link doesn't work anymore... Had to take it down for now, since the server can't run the queries without the whole site timing out...
