Save the Soverignity of the regulars!

I know that this is an open site to all and everybody is treated equally, but because of all the newboe activity we are reciveing now (and will no doubt get over the coming months) I think that a 'Regulars' or 'Old Timers' forum should be opened. Where all of us who have been here a while now can still preserve what we had before the flood ensued.

Im not saying we should mingle with the new generation but it would be nice to have our own little private part, I gota go now anyways, but either a for or against would be cool. Take it easy ya all!

The private part is the OT forum I believe, it's kinda dead now

Yeah, I agree with Wiz that we should mingle with all the newcomers in the FL discussion forum and use OT for other stuff and for taking a breather like it always has. No need for an extra forum IMO.

Right now I'm laying low in the OT forum and avoiding the FL discussion forum as much as possible, because quite frankly I'm sick and tired of the prejudice, blaspheme, stubbornness and all other things going on there. Sure I've tried to keep up with all the new threads and to stay nice, coherent, objective etc., but I'm just fed up with the attitude of some and I can't take it anymore to see threads like "FL sucks !!" and "DA screwed us !!". I'm really sorry for Bargib and the mods for being in the line of fire right now, and believe me, they are taking a lot of hits

The TLR staff (at least some) as well as the server are really on the verge of breaking and I feel for you guys.

Maybe I just have to put on blinders and ignore it or I'm just a big whiner and should keep my mouth shut. I'm not sure, perhaps I AM just a big whiner.....

I will risk my life and rank and try to help as much newbs as I can in FL Forum.
Some of them already have almost more posts than me, but that way I dont draw too much attention as all those 1000+ Commodore posters.
Sometimes I will rest in OT with the old guys.
No need for a new forum.

Say people who have a rank of Lt. Commander and above, that way we can all still mingle with the newbies but we still have our santuary against aggressive and spam ridden posters asking questions which have been repeated 1000 times before. If Gibby & the mods decide against it thats fine by me, I just thought it would be nice thats all. Its not like Im going to storm off in a huff and never return again over it

I was thinking maybe put "Joined up on..." or "Member since..." or "Member for X days" or something like that. Lets people know who's been here for awhile.

I actually brought this up about a year or so ago and got shouted down, so I don't think it'll happen. But the OT forum has actually slowed down after the demo release, so it'll do for a sanctuary. We can always make it policy that if a n00b stirs trouble in OT we have persmission to shoot him without question.

I actually thought today: "wouldn't it be cool if we had an Oldie-FL-Discussion forum? (oldie beeing everyone who joined before 1.1.2003) Somewhere we could rant about all that noobs who spam the regular FL Forums...
