Signature Question

I might not be using the proper signature code, I don't know... I always seem to have to re-edit my posts because the signature keeps adding new code and messes up my signature. Here's my current code with dashes--- instead of [[[[

-url=http://fl.sv1web.com--code- Home Of The Solo Vets > http://fl.sv1web.com -/code- -/url-

Here's what it does to my signature:
-url=http://fl.sv1web.com--code- <font size=1 face=Courier> Home Of The Solo Vets > http://fl.sv1web.com </font> -/code- -/url-

you can probably see what it looks like in my signature, is there any way to correct this without editing every time?

link with out extra code

Home Of The Solo Vets and this is without the font changes you had added.

Click on my edit button to se how I put it in. Then go back to your profile and delet the mixed code and replace it. Extra ( [ ) syblels can get things astray a bit.

I'm trying the way you said with this post but the font changes are or were the problem. I didn't put that font code in there. Lets see if it works now.....

The basics are these from a Moderator-

Signatures... almost everybody uses them (and should). Most of the time a signature will make a quick reader know that you're participating in the discussion. Some use text signatures, other use pictures or a combination of those two.

There aren't any written rules to follow when you use a picture in your signature. There are some size and dimension restrictions but that's it. You're free in what picture to choose, just as long as it's not violent of sexually oriented.

You can put your signature in your post by ticking the "Check here to include your profile signature" box. This brings me to my main point of this thread. This has been brought up before but I want everyone to know.

Please use your signature, if it's a picture, only once per thread (like in your first post). So everybody will know that you're participating in the discussion.

Text-Based signatures are welcome to be used, but NOT in every post. Please refrain from using the text based sig more than once per page of a thread.

You're absolutly free to decide wether or not you will follow this rule. It's not official but I think it will makes the forum look smoother.

Please send your suggestions, love/hate mail about this issue to: [email protected]

Best regards,
Wizard.

So most still pics, though some have used Giffs. they tend to bog things down and may get edited out by a Mod. You can use text to link a pic hosted from another site. This is a link pic so it displays. , but you have to remember to uncheck the sig box for more than one posts in a thread.
