Neither the admin or moderators have talked about it, wonder why?. Rumor has it that it took up too much bandwidth and had to be temporarily taken away. That's just rumour though.

Confirmed. The search function should be turned on again after the site has been moved to the new server. There will probably be even more improvements added at that time.

It's not a rumour
We talked openly (like we have anything to hide) about it just after Freelancer went gold and we got 20,000 hits a day.

Can I get an ETA on the wonderful Search Option? I've never yet seen its wonders and I am looking forward to its arrival =).

According to the theory of evolution, I should have died a LONG time ago.

Will the search option be more useful when it comes back then it was in the past? I always found it hard to actually find what I was looking for, either no desired topic showed up or many irrelevant ones did, and then you're topic would get deleted/locked when you got frustrated enough and just asked something that at some time was posted before. Okay, rant over
