Yes it's annoying that PunkZombie. I use A.O.L. and it has been suggested that (by another TLR gamer) it is a restriction on the size of file being downloaded.
I have been trying to download the file TNG 155 Full, which is 30 MB, I gave up yesterday after trying for a week, I downloaded the file via an internet cafe using broadband, then saved the file to a CD, trouble is now, I can't figure out how to load the zip file from the CD to the Mod Manager!

Corporal. go to their homepage. Starfyre Studios (Reynen, ya know).

I've tried Starfyre Studios, I couldn't find anything useful!

I was more thinking about their downloads section, as you requested TNG 1.xx. You said it freezed, didn't you?

Hope this will help a little more than before .

My download still froze even though I just got DSL. This sucks!

I am also experiencing download freeze a LOT!

I gave up trying to download the Rebalance 3.01 mod after numerous tries (different times day & night) and have had problems with other downloads recently as well.

I'm not using AOL, matter of fact I have a broadband connection. I've even tried having a friend download (also broadband and a different ISP) and he also experienced download freezes.

I suspect is on the server end...perhaps a bandwith issue??

I'm replying to PunkZombie's post so the Admin is aware it isn't an isolated issue and maybe something can be done. *Hopeful look*

I wish you well

Hi, I have been trying to grab Rebalance 3.01 for SIX days now, and every time I try, the download fails after a few minutes.

I have a very reliable cable link to the 'net, for 6 years now, and this is the only site have have trouble with at this time. I have d/l'd ReBalance 1.xx and 2.xx just fine in the past.

thanks

Hmmm... it is somewhere in the infrastructure between you and me... If anybody has an idea on how to solve it I would be most happy!

The connection for the FTP server looks like being closed by the client, eg the person downloading. But that is not true?

I used for ages the same program on a different ISP? The current is COLT, a pan-European ISP.

Hi Bargib,

The local client says "File is no longer available" after a random time of the download. Sometimes I get 3 megs, and sometimes 11 megs before it closes. Very random.

Thanks for the pointer to the other file site.

Hello Bargib,

I sorry I don't have enough expertise to offer any worthwhile suggestions.
I can, however, pass along a couple observations and hopefully they will be of some use to you.

When I try downloading the download starts at about 78 kb/s (very slow for me) and quickly degrades to the low 20's where it remains until it freezes at about 11.2 Meg downloaded. 11 Meg is pretty consistant were it usually freezes for me.

I have also noticed my download speeds drastically dropped shortly after you took steps to secure the site awhile back. (I think you also changed servers)
I just assumed it was a bandwith issue and didn't gripe.

My compliments on a great site, I love all the info and downloads available here.

I wish you well.

Mine still tells me it's downloading, but it doesn't advance. It stays the same till it says Server Timed Out. Someone mentioned a File Manager for DL.
What does that mean?
