What the forum should do, is check the post for common questions and then instead of posting the message, use that to search the forum

The popup would "get shot right between the eyes" before it even pops into existance...
Adding a "Search Bar" just below the "post new topic" link might help a little bit... Maybe...

I think someone reasking a question would be a lot better for the server than simply referring people to the search funtion. Just because using the search function can slow the server down a lot.

Maybe if you tried indexing... I mean, adding a "topic keyword" section in the post new topic dialogue screen, and then sorting the posts by those keywords, so that when someone searches the forum, the server wont go trough all the posts. Instead, it will load & search only a small group of posts, thus reducing server overload... (I'm probably terribly wrong, but I had to ask)
