what you forgot: it has some very surprising twists, doesn't stick to the rules of normal (sci-fi)TV that nothing ever happens to the main characters (in the course of it's running, at least 3 of the main characters (shown in the opening credits) were replaced, at least 2 were killed, and some underwent major changes (look at G'Kar or Londo in the first and the last season). This sense of "everything can happen" made it feel much more real imho. (and i still have to see something more exciting than a fleet of whitestars taking out a vorlon outpost
)
