Yes many of us use file sharing. But we arent that thick as to openly admit it on the forum of the product you pinched and expect the fans, admins, and developers not to have a pop at you. That is really dumb.

Please read my comments above in another posting here. Like I said I did not come into the Forum saying I downloaded this Freelancer game using a File Sharing program. And I'm still NOT saying that I have. You lot here seem to have decided that fact without me admiting to anything! Which I never will, because its none of anybodys buisness here!

DREAD came into my thread after reading some postings in the ShareReactor Forum "Why he was there in the first place is a mistery also". He came here and posted some comments I made there.

So I say again please get your facts right!

Oh! and you now admit to using a File Sharing program yourself in your comments above. So now who's the common Thief!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to be a fact that you are admitting you have the pdf and not the printed manual and do not want to spend the money to buy the game just to get the manual. Or am I misinterpreting what you have said?

They all miss me on the quite over there. I brought life to there forum. But they won't admit it. But that GRIMM dude is a right ****er over there though. The rest are OK! Even though they slag me off.

I have already been there and read what they have to say! And I go there on a regular bases to read about "X2". And they still hav'nt Sussed out my Bogus account over there. I have made loads of posting there. Because I now have a new IP Address. But I know that GRIMM dude with the stupid website asking people to go to his website to slag each other off, is trying to find out new ID in the forum. That I'm now going under. But he's to thick by far to find me!

Oh and again STEEL there forum admin has already said he would let me use the Forum again if I wanted in one of his postings there. But because of people there like GRIMM . I choose not too go back to my old Username there! I'm happy to just read comments there, and have a good laugh. They are having so much fun over there, that they have to come here and read my threads in this forum. I think that says it all don't you!

If you do have the warez and then dare come ask for support you are the worst kind of scum and deserve perhaps chemical castration, if you really did buy the game then go about your business nothing to see here.

If I would have known it would have been such a big freakin' mess I wouldn't have even posted in the other thread!

I only even posted it because I didn't think there would be ANYONE dim enough to use the same login name in a "warez forum" as they do in a game forum of a game they downloaded.
I honestly expected him to simply reply with "Wow, popular name I guess. But that isn't me.", or something to that effect. Not to answer with "Yeah, I use filesharing for some things.", which is not a full denial that his FL was downloaded.

But, now that he seems to be trying to shoot the subject over to me, and keeps MISPELLING my name (Dredd, NOT "DREAD" ), I feel I must defend myself...not a wise thing to do, but commonly a person will try to shift attention when caught doing a no-no.

So, even though I do not feel I need to justify anything, I am bored and this gives me somethigng to do...(Until DA patches FreeLancer's multiplayer game! )

Why was I in a "warez forum"?
Because somebody posted in THIS forum a link to thread about a week before the game was even released regarding the pirating of "FreeLancer" which was already apparently happening....while those of us with pre-orders were still waiting for our March 4th arrivals.
And, while I was there I noticed that almost every other game I have sitting on my shelf is also available there...made me wonder just how many "warez users" I have been playing online with over the years and never even knew. I really didn't think the "problem" of "warez" was as big as it is until I went to that forum.
So, while I was there I wrote down quite a few of the names of people I saw that were getting "FreeLancer" from there. To use as a means to keep them off any server I run for FL...since I think if they would steal the game they would have no reservations about cheating in the game as well.

If I had anything to hide I surely wouldn't have even brought up the fact I saw the same name in a "warez forum" at all.
Personally, I don't really care what people think of me anyways...I am too damned old to care about crap like that. hehe
Yeah, I use "filesharing".
"Kazaa" to be exact.
But, I use it to get songs that I cannot find ANYWHERE else...like Bob Segar, old live Eagles tracks, etc...ya just can't find them for SALE anywhere, I have looked since I consider myself an audiophile.
I am on a 56k connection to the net, and can only be connected at night since the phone must be open for calls during the day.
"Game Warez" look to be over 800Mb in size on average.
Now, let's do a little math...
I can download about 10MB an HOUR at maximum speed if not "surfing" or doing anything else online.
800Mb / 10 = 80
80 Hours to download a game.
At 8 hours a night that would take 10 days to get IF it stayed at a full download speed the entire time...which I can tell you it does not because it has taken me HOURS to get a single 3MB song file many times.

So, as you can see, it just wouldn't be worth it...at least not to me.
To get any game I might want I would have to give up doing ANYTHING else online, like playing NeverWinter Nights, which I play several hours every night.
I will be honest and admit I have been tempted with some titles I saw available.
But when I look at the game's websites, and see they only cost $19.99 in most cases it is just more efficient to order them.
My time is more valuable to me than that.
So, it's no "moral" choice.
Just simple economy.

You seem quite a nice guy who maybe a simular age to me! I don't really want to sound as though I'm getting at you in person. It's just that they all seem to think I came into this forum, Ranting and Raving that I downloaded the game for Free. When really I should be mad at you for starting all these people of in the first place with your posting of my "ShareReactor comments". But I'm cool about it.

To be honest, I do not care in the slightest what people think of me using a File Sharing program like millions of other people out there also use. And it does'nt really matter if it's a Song, game, Album or whatever you download. There all copyrighted. So anyone who has downloaded any Music files, is no better than the next person who has downloaded a full game. To be honest I mainly use the program for downloading Films thats are not out over here yet on the pictures. Seeing as I have a 1mb Cable connection I can do this. And if anybody here does'nt like that fact. Go suck an egg!

This Flame all revolves around the FL game only. Nobody has made any other reference to me regarding any other games I might of downloaded.

As to me having a Pirate Copy here of FL. Well you'll all just have to keep guessing on that one.

But let me say this, In the comments you posted that I made. Did I ever say I had downloaded the game. Or did I accually say I had started to download the game, but was getting nothing but corrupt files instead.

DREDD please don't take my comments as getting at you. I was just trying to prove a point. I also am to old to worry about what people think about me, and to wise to ever think they have never downloaded anything themselves!

I also like Music also. Try downloading this:

We could do with more people also trying to download the new RAR version that been packed by Tommy.

Just add both the ShareReactor and Tommy's RAR version below to your list of downloads and see how you go on with both vesions. Better to be download two versions. Rather than just one!
