This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Info on carrierships! Real carrierships.

Hi all..
I'm currently making a counterstrike map, and the scene is set on a aircraft carriership. I know that there is some kind of lifts on the deck that transports aircrafts below deck. But where are the situated???

If any of you guys could help, I'd be happy like a... frog, or something..

hehe. "You're momma is so fat, they need to one o' those carrier elevators to get her out of bed!"

Ignore the lame joke, I'm PMSing, which is pretty bad considering I'm a guy.

Ah, the glories of the Nimitz class... Most powerful ships at sea due to their fighter compliment.

Those ships are frickin awesome, I saw a documentary of when they were building one. The level of workmanship/craftmanship that goes into a carrier is truly amazing.

The British Carriers are no way as big as the American ones, but still are cool

Here's a pic of HMS Invincible, which is an Invincible-Class.

There are two other Invincible-Class ships, HMS Ark Royal and HMS Illustrious.

Here's a pic of HMS Ocean, which is an Ocean-Class Hellicoptor Carrier

i got the first one from i forgot where... :S but u kno wat... the invincible class dun look invincible to me... :S and to one of u guys (i'm sorry i nvr get around to remembering names...) it isn't just building the carrier. once its launched, across a 5-mile radius or probably more, depending on its class, the carrier is flanked by cruisers, destroyers, oil ships, supply ships, and other defence and offense ships, so they r virtually impossible to penetrate... but! that is only on the top. i still havent managed to get info on the subs that flank the carriers... welll, i know a few good models that could take out an entire carrier group...with a number of course... just thought u wanted to know.... and the bigger carriers have like 4 lifts around them. they r just floating cities...

presently, my world is upside down, so if u do not mind, u'll have to tok to my a$$

The best feature of the Invincible-Class is it "Ski-Jump" ramp at the front of the ship, it enables the Harriers that it houses to carry a great payload, then would be possible if they took over Vertically.

Hmm, I'm sure one of you guys knows:

How much does it cost to make one of those carrierships? I'm assuming many several billionses... So grammatically incorrect.

Not sure on the British models, Nimitz type are roughly 4.5 billion each.
Think the british models are under a billion but don't quote me
