Not sure, there seem to be some problems with getting a distributor, don't know if that has been solved by now. I heard something about a 2-3 months, but that's someones speculation most likely.

X2 is nearing completion but still needs beta testing. A publisher has not been settled yet, the previous publisher of the series didn't do a great job. Educated guess would be June 2003.

They ditched their previous publisher THQ for doing such a bad job on the marketing for X-BTF and X-T (i.e. only producing 37 copies of the game, and only making it availaable in Germany etc).

THQ went on to make a massivly succesful campaign for Red-Faction. Proof you really can sell **** to people if you dress it up nicely enough.

Come on guys..this is a Freelancer forum! You should be posting this on a X forum.
I can not beleave Bargib would let this post not get deleted. It is just taking up some space on the server. And wasted space at that!

No big deal talking about other games, including X2, just make sure to post on the "off topic" forum for it though, so we can keep this forum dedicated to Freelancer. I'll move this one over to off topic...whoosh.

I wish there was a way to find out information on X2 besides asking on their forums.

Damn... I still play X-Tension. I have a MASSIVE trade empire, my main Trade bases are in the Xenon sectors.

There where 9 Great wars between me and the Xenon over 2 of their sectors, 600 million credits later at a cost of 79 Elite and Falcons fighters I finaly won, it's a shame you could not get destroyers since I lost most of my ships to those destroyers of the Xenon.

In X2 you will be able to buy carriers and destroyers... That is gonna rock.

Since I took over those systems I am the closest Trading post to many of the system located in the Eastern part of the Galaxy, money is flowing, and I have nearly rebuild my fleet for my Second campaign against the Xenon in a system that has alot more ships.

When the Xenon is gone, I will go after the Teladi, I'm gonna make the human rule supreme..muwahahahaaaaa.......

But when X2 comes out X-tension will be a distant memory.

Yeh I did basically the same set up in pirate sectors making money from contra band I’ve "recovered" then sold on at my bases, net worth about 500M, got an argon mammoth with loads of elites, right now I’m taking out the split(there just to dam ugly). X2 should rule..
