All Hail to the Mods

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Bargib, don't take it personally even though it's tough not to. Just remove the NAZI word from title but keep the thread open. As I've said in other posts before, there will always be one who likes to harass and insult others for no reason at all.

I came. I saw. I conquered. And sometimes get conquered.

Anyone noticed that the author of the thread never posted anything anymore? I guess s/he won't show up again here (especially after some [maybe a bit too harsh responses).
I'm relatively new here and don't have much to say. However, I kinda like the way the forums are moderated (sometimes maybe too harshly, but nobody's perfect). I guess that as long as one does not try to insult anybody or openly criticize FL s/he is not banned.
I remember, once I received some warning from Bargib (sth about editing, can't remember clearly now), but it was not insulting in any way. IMHO, Bargib (and the mods) are doing really hard and good work here, actually, I can't imagine how they manage to, considering the flood of posts in FL forums.

Actually´he´s right, Why can´t we post criticism? Games are improved by CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. If there´s something someone don´t like about the game it could be interesting to hear what other ppl feel about it and maybe do something about it. Either someone could add/subtract this in a mod. Please, this game is far from perfect.

Bargib,

if you consider those words that anthroplasm spellt out, then you're letting him get to you

you're doing a great job and I'm with you about the N-word.
Back here in holland it's the worst thing you can EVER be called

I think what Gib is saying Apoc is that you have to disuss the ins and outs of the game. You cant simply just give all negitave points and then not argue the postive points of the game. You have to find a happy medium to launch a disscussion. Must poeple are just saying "Freelancer is crap" then not say anything good about the game.

Why should I each time I want to discuss a negativ thing of the game, the (huge) list of possitiv things?
If I post something about the negatives, I clearly want to talk about this problem, and not about how happy the world it is.

By your logic, someone that talk about the 3rd world should never forget to mention how fine his own life is, and how much wealth in other parts of the world is

I think, (nearly) everyone of regular posters, and everyone with some common sense will agree that freelancer is a good game, it gets damn repitiv if we would mention it in every topic, how we like this or this ... if someone want to discuss how to improve the game, its only natural that the main point will focus on the negatives, sure you could aswell improve a game aswell with making it´s strong points even stronger, but than again ... would it be not negativ that those strong points are not already stronger ... *getsaheadache*

And well.
For the crap posters, don´t feed the trolls.
Close. Warn. Ban. Should be normal. But I guess ppl start to disagree maybe abit to often in the last weeks, who the real trolls are.

Exactly. Repetitive. Not only the good ones, but also the bad ones. Show me ONE "bad thing" about Freelancer that has not been said before. Lessee: SP too short, about 12 times in the last 48 hours. No dynamic economy, 10 last week. No joystick: not anymore, but around a million times in the last one year. And yadda and yadda. Seriously, is there just one fresh, original, completely untouched complaint? and I thought you dislike repetitiveness?

Wow man, someone pass the asbestos suit!!

Honestly, the moderation is okay, a lil harsh, but you guyz disever it most of the time

Now play nice and if u dont like it go home!!

People who constantly complain and make negative comments in a forum remind me of cheaters in a game, they just detract from everyone else's experience.
I am always glad when a cheater gets kicked, so I am also pleased when the moderators remove a pointless, negative thread.

And, having German ancestry, I also dislike it when the word "Nazi" is tossed around.

until now I did not read much about, what now really exaclty a patch should change, and which changes would be most pratical and fast to implement.

(I mean now except those annoying bugs that can be abused to make even faster money and restore your shilds infinitv)

btw you forget aswell to mention in the list of repetiv mentioned bad things the "no content for high level / maxed out charakters" and "no risk involeved in pvp"

but just mention those stuff is repetiv right, but talking about how to change it. how to improve the game at this areas, thats the intersting part, somehow I am sure that if you ask each mod here in the forum, that you will even get from them to each of this points a slightly different answer, what the right way to fix this would be. and I did not really see any good discussion about this going on for long before it gets closed.

so, and now tell me please , what you can discuss about the strong sides of fl ? not much, right, cause they are there, and they will stay there, and no one will argueing that they should be removed or fixed or something.
good things that are done, won´t give you a base for a good discussion, cause there is nothing to discuss. you can discuss about adding more good things, sure, but thats a totaly different matter (and we have the editing forum for this)

@Bargib:

There isn´t much more that I can say (others have already did that extensively), but I too want to say that your doing a great job on this beautiful site and I truly hope you won´t give up. I understand that it must be really hard on you that there are people who are actually calling you and the mods Nazi´s !!, but the fact is that these people are plain ignorant, blunt and...well....bastards !!

Anyway, hope you´ll stay and that you can put on some blinders for these people.

@Bargib: Think you are doing a great job
Keep up the good work. Since finding this site I have found SL more enjoyable because a) I can offer help to those who get stuck from time to time. b)SL mods are fun to have a go with and I couldn't have done by myself as I have little free-time.
I am looking forward to having the same experience with Freelancer. It's great to share with those who appreciate the game.
(Not going into the pros and cons as it's been covered thoroughly)
