Conversion from game to movie

There are again a few more videogames which will be converted to live-action movies next to the already announced movies like, Tomb Raider 2 (from Dutch director Jan de Bont

), Deus Ex, Max Payne, Alien vs Predator etc.

Here are the other ones:

Crazy Taxi
Doom
Metroid
Resident Evil: Nemesis

Deus Ex movie? That's new to me!
I can add some movies to the list:
Duke Nukem
Alice (not Lewis Carrol's, McGee's [damn, I hate that guy!)
Alone in the Dark
Dragon's Lair (animated movie)
Timeline

I find it ironic that most games aim to be movie-like but now several movies are game-like. Especially those adaptations.

I think it's another Timeline.
A very cheezy game kinda Thief: Dark Project with very horrible graphics and slacker's budget.

Based on experience of similar movies any movie based on a video game has an uphill battle. They must figure they can make a crappy movie but if it's based on a popular game lots of people will go see it. It's the same sort of thing when they make a crappy game based on a popular movie.
