Z: I WILL KILL YOU SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY !
no offence j/k

Actually Z there's a story about that quote.

Back when I was in undergrad, I had a bad year, ended up failing a lot of courses. Had to take a year off while I tried to figure out exactly what I wanted to do.

I was talking to my Dad, telling him that I wanted to be a vet, but the pre-med courses were really tough and were killing me. After a while, that quote is what he said to me.

I thought it was pretty awesome. Basically, if you have an idea, just keep your mind on it. It might not happen right away, but if you slowly keep working towards it, it will.

Here I am, 2 months from being a doctor and I still think its some of the best advice I ever got.

Though I agree i have had my fair share of frustration at the amount of time I've spent in school.

"If this is what you want to do, you'll do it, no matter how long it takes..........and usually the longer it takes the more fun you've had!"

Wow, Kivuli. That's awesome. I did basically the same thing, taking a year off after my first year, 'cause I wasn't doing well and didn't know where I was going. Now I'm in my fourth year, going on a fifth, hoping what I do now will redeem how I did before. Very inspiring, your story.
