Request for Privateer Players!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Request for Privateer Players!

I have a little favor to ask of anyone who still plays or can run Privateer. I need a screenshot of New Detroit, specifically ground level New Detroit, where you're on the street and you can see stores. A few snapshots would be good, like one without any ships flying around, and a few with them.

That's a tall order. I don't even know if I can find my Priv1 disc. I'll look for it and maybe I can get it to run again on my old 133.

I have my disks, but I don't know any programs that do screen captures in DOS. Any suggestions?

That's a good point. I've known how to do a CTRL-printscreen so long that I forgot it only works in windows.

Hmm, have a shot at googling it ... ?

Post Sat Feb 15, 2003 8:01 am

Tried googling.

Hm, I think I saw a screen-cap utility for Privateer somewhere during my googling. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: Okay, here's one that supposedly works, and supposedly doesn't.

Well, at any rate, I don't want you guys to go to the trouble of installing programs just so I can get my screenshot. Thanks anyways, guys.

Heh, I actually like those cockpits! If they could do 3-d renditions of them today, I'd be a much happier person.

LOL, that's interesting. Well, i doubt they thought of the control system FL has before they said that.
