The first negative review of FarScape!!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

The first negative review of FarScape!!

Yep, that's right-the first negative review of Farscape , in the Canadian newspaper Globe & Mail by its TV critic John Doyle:

Silly sci-fi meets loony, on-line love
By JOHN DOYLE, GLOBE AND MAIL, February 7, 2003
........(edited to get to the salient bits).....
Farscape (tonight, Space, 9 p.m.) is a big deal, I am informed. A sci-fi show with a small but fanatical following (there are 19 Web sites devoted to it), it starts its fourth and final season tonight. The announcement that this was the final season brought mail from people who wanted my support to keep it going. Alas, I wasn't what you'd call intimate with it.
It's the darndest thing, actually. This astronaut fella Crichton (Ben Browder) accidentally moseyed through a wormhole, as so often happens. He found himself at the far end of the galaxy, in the middle of a war between factions of funny-looking people. He has many adventures.
Now, you probably know that all of these lost-in-space shows have a babe. (The Canadian show Lexx relied entirely on the boobs of a female character to generate interest and keep geeks watching.) Well, Farscape has three babes -- a blonde, a brunette and a redhead. Thus it has all the bases covered for keeping geeks enthralled. The blonde, a character named Chiana (the charmingly named Gigi Edgley), is the star. Oh, there are guys with three eyes, but Chiana is still the star. Farscape is idiotic, but if you've got a taste for sci-fi silliness, you should know about it.

That, in a nutshell, is what he said about the show and the fans.

If you're all pissed off, post away.

EVERYTHING in this world, especially the popular ones, have had its share of criticism: FL, Star Trek, Star Wars, the Bible, etc. I'm not really into Farscape myself, but I would go crazy if I respond to every attack on everything I like. Just the fact that YOU like it is good enough a justification! I would generally ignore critics from someone who's definitely not a fan, especially an online critic who is not getting his BS across in a real publication.

Critics are prevalent everywhere of everything, they didn't like Star Wars Attack of the Clones, but I did. Like FF said, as long as you like it that's enough.

A critic said it was bad... so OBVIOISLY that means the show kicks ass

...Just a random thought from a random mind

I've been watching it from the start, and its great, it has always been a bit strange, which leads to some very weird and also very funny moments, (mainly cause the main character has been going slowly crazy) i can see how people who have just started watching it would find it hard to grasp, its one of thoughs shows that it kinda helps if you know the previous storylines.

Anyway as for the critic, everyones intitled to there own opinion, i just dont particulary care what this guys opinion is. Thats the problem with critics most people dont agree with them, so there opinion dosnt really count for much.
