Quick question if the ATI 9700 Pro Supports 8x AGP will it still work on a motherboard that only runs up to 4x AGP?

I've heard somewhere it will, however there are some compatability issues, too many in my opinion to be viable...

itll probably work but probably not nearly as well as its capable to. Im dealin with the same thing with my geforce 4 4200

Never use APG 8X, theres been too many errors with it and besides, theres no reason to use it. Its not like it gives u any real performance boost. Its just a number, really. Benchmarks show like an increase of 1fps between 4X and 8X. Simply not worth the trouble.

Oh, and ya, it will work with your mobo. The Radeon will jsut switch to 4X by itself.
