I doubt the sound quality would be anything like a decent pair of speakers. The best speakers I have heard are made by KEF, a British make. They make very natural sounding speakers. (Recently they have gone a bit abstract on their designs. Still sound great though. The older styling was much better IMO.)

Any previous directional sound speakers I have heard sounded like crud. You just couldn't get the frequency ranges out of them. They are flat sounding.
But if this company think they have improved upon it then I'd be willing to hear them. Still don't think they could compare though.

WTF? sound directed to a single spot? seems a little lame imo. I can't really see a party where sound is only directed to a few spots, it would get crowded there

yeah.. but what would stop the sound from bouncing around (like soundwaves do

) sure it may only be directed at one spot... but it will bounce around and be heard by all.
