I love the reporting style, no mention of whether its a spring or neaps tide, and they say "9ft higher than normal" without saying whether this is normal tide vs spring, or normal spring tide height
I am, of course, assuming that it's a spring tide with severe gale winds whipping the sea up at the same time? Maybe wrong, but that article is just written to scare monger. We seem obsessed with portraying things in the worst light possible to give a shock and startle affect :/
By the way, if i wake up tomorrow and 200 people are dead... i reserve the right to say "oh bugger did I talk out my ass!"
