I'm well aware of the Eskwilurx's shamefaced connections with the bureaucratic engine of state and his voluntary association with the organs of government that he so loudly eschews in public. I've drawn attention to this sorry state of affairs before, but this is the first time he's admitted it. It's prob some project forcing ordinary citizens to give sample of DNA and fingerprints to go on a huge federal database - no doubt his part in this is meagre and merely functionary, and he's just doing as he's told. Hmmm, where have I heard that excuse before?

Not coming along as well as I may have hoped. I messed up my exams but they're allowing me to continue on the honours degree if I retake the modules I failed as an external candidate this year. What that amounts to is that I'm not studying as such this year, just looking for some temp work and revising for the exams. Then next september I'll carry on and take my final year.
I don't find the course particularly difficult, but so far I haven't found much of it enjoyable and haven't been very motivated. My coursework in particular has suffered a lot. Still, it's my own fault I'm in this hole, it's up to me to dig myself out of it.
