Happy Promotion to me!

Well, after 6 months I finally got that promotion I have been trying for at work. Still in the same department with the same responsibilities, put with a move to salary (instead of hourly) and a 10% raise!

Now I can fully support my wife and I and any additions to the family that might come along. Also, our new house is about to be completed - everything is going well for us right now.

Congrats topher! Are you still working in the biomedical engineering industry? My final year specialisation at uni is going to be in the same field!

Para - i was afraid that everyone would just assume that as well

Recusant - Yeah, still with the same company I have been with since June 1998 (coming up on 10 years... wow).

For those who don't know, I design orthopeadics - joint implants like hips, knees, elbows, and the like. I am in the Hip Group right now but the guy over my department is over Knees as well and thinks that my skills can be utilized there in addition to my Hip projects.

Thanks for the well wishing guys, and as soon as you guys make it to Tennessee I'll take care of the tab!
