Any one Oblivion?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Any one Oblivion?

Any one into the PC/XBOX 360 rpg The Elder Scrolls Oblivion?
I hated Morrowind due to the sloooowness and cruddy combat, But I gave the new one a chance I like it alot. The combat is faster and better it no longer feels like a diceless roleplaying game. I am not far into the main quest yet but I like it alot. Nice default difficulty lots of little things to do if your into that, great character creation/customization, new stuff to play with and apparently 200+ "dungeons" to play with.

So thoughts? I have the xbox 360 version
and am a customized archer/thief

Its extremly tempermental. Won't run on a 2.1ghz AMD with 1gb ram, 64MB VRam,

and it won't run on a 1.8 GHZ centrino, 1.5 GB shared ram with 128mb alicated to video.

I'm headed to a game store tomorow to see if I can trade it in for a differnt game.

I was told that you need a minimum 3ghz processor and 256mb graphics to run it properly. I see Vulture Boy has been running into *lack of resources* problems, that's what happens to you if you support the Wabbit, see! next you'll be living in a burrow with a 386 playing Super Bunny Island in 8-bit color on an EGA monitor.

seriously though it's a resource hog of a game. Mini-Taw wants it but his PC is only a 2.4 with an FX5200 and I'm not spending £400 on him just so he can play one game, and he's certainly not allowed to play on Borromir - it's bad enough Mrs Taw has taken over the old lad for eBaying. I'm relegated to cr*ppy Farramir (laptop) most of the time these days

hahahah. i got it for the 360 so my computer doen't die. it practically exploded the first time i ran KOTOR on it. i still wish for mods though.

In anycase back to the game.

I currently find that i enjoy a archer in my game, with a blunt spec for the chargers

Well, looks like I have a new $50 DVD coaster for my sodas. Eb Games no longer trades PC games. Couldn't even find a taker to give it away to.

Some one sugjested Ebay, but I trust Ebay like I trust a rattlesnake.

I have it and it runs ........ok...... on my comp:
2.0 prossesor
fx5500
1gig ram

I love everything about it lol. my favorite weapon is the bow, nothing like standing so far from your target it looks like a ant and seeing the 3+ damage, then when you do get to your target you find that you got a headshot lol. Wish there was a way of toneing down the body phisics, that seems to slow down combat to the point were I can hardly play it.

I still play morrowind, in fact I'm makeing a dwemer home mod (slowly lol) and got the outside done but haven't done the inside yet.

Blessed Be to all those that still dream of the flight to the stars.

I'm running it at 1280x960 with a "Large" texture size, but I had to take off all shadows and the grass. It still gets damn ****y at times, especially around Oblivion Gates and in one or two cities, but that's because I have the "View Distance" all the way up. Most of the time is playable, but I REALLY need something faster *sigh*.

I am running it at 1280x1024 @ full gfx with HDR on at about 60fps

I usally run all my games maxed at 1600x1200 but this one had to much of a frame hit for me (And that is a first!)

I was also one of the first people to put a completely custom swor dinto the game (Done a few weeks ago)

Ha! Try to do that on a PC with only 512MB of DDR, a dodgy P4 2.4B CPU, and an overclocked Radeon 9700! Then see how many FPS you get! Now I'm depressed again, thanks. *Sob*

yeah well i'm running 1600 by 1200 with HDR at full graphics! *sticks tongue out at alpha leader*
