Mine came from my first dungeons and dragons character I ever created over 20 years ago. My character was a demi god in the DM's world. Started as a lowly warrior and through many trials, defeated a demi god to gain his powers.

mine came from two sources:

Having been involved in the aicraft industry I have always liked the Harrier jump jet..

and Harrier also means:

1. One that harries.
2. Any of various slender, narrow-winged hawks of the genus Circus, such as the marsh hawk, that hunt over meadows and marshes and prey on small terrestrial animals.
3. Any of a breed of small hounds originally used in hunting hares and rabbits. (a hound that resembles a foxhound but is smaller)
4. A cross-country runner.
5. A persistent attacker.

And funnily enough I have been using it as my character since wing commander days.. it also happened to be unused when I joined lancers.. I am also known elsewhere as DaxHarrier.. lol..

I can't believe people attached such meaning to their names or thought.

I tried for my name (Mike) and wherever I tried to join it was taken (including servers). I happened to be eating a plate of chips at the time...

Because "Neuromancer" is a damn good book and the name sounds cool.

Han shot first. Never forget that.

I was, but it wasn't the motivator to name myself Being a student did ensure that I could watch all the daytime 70's/80's drama's I wanted - reruns of the A-Team were my favourite though.

I don't remember catching any Knight Rider though - disappointing

As to the Cop show, it was CHiPs for California Highway Patrol. Which would chips be, Ponch or Baker?

I used to go by an old screename on here then I changed it to this because at the time it sounded cooler and I was trying to keep the same screenames across all the sites I frequent.

Arton is just a name i came up with out of the blue one day for use in a book i never finished i guess i just adopted it as a nickname, i use it in just about every game and website in some fashion or another. to date there is about 295 variations that i can remember mostly from games besides Arton sounds a heck of a lot better than Kevin
