Yippee!!!!!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

comercial pilots licence with instument rating

Post Mon Jan 30, 2006 2:16 pm

Four years strikes me as being rather a long time for just that. I'd hope the program at LeTouneau is something like UND. If so, chupa will come out with his Multi-IFR and Certified Instructor with Instrument ratings.

'Course even with all that he'll have a right bastard of a time finding a halfway decent job in the airline industry. Unless he knows somebody who knows somebody...

Anyway, congratulations, and good luck. Flying is great fun and learning to do it is worth every penny.

in the 80s it was possibe in 3 to 6 months but not recommended
the average was around 12 to 18 months
as for multirating a comercial licence is not too great without one as it limits you too much
i remember i always wanted a job flying twin otters for the british antarctic survey
never did go for my comercial licence in the end and havent flown a plane in over 10 yrs

I belive, this is a little different than just a pilots license. LeTourneau University

School of Aeronautical Science, Aviation (Flight) Aviation (Systems)

Turn your dream of flying into an exciting career with our intensive flight science degree program.

This is a lot more than just learning to fly a plane.

Much congrats to ya!

Best of luck chupa... my brother spent well over a year out of college as an instructor waiting to get a big shot job. Prepare to be treated like dirt at the bottom of the food chain even after you get your ATP and get hired. Its a tough, but improving world out there. Maybe four years will change things now that Boeing is back on its feet and kicking Airbus in the *censored*.

nice one chupa, hope it works out for you. What of anything are you hoping to fly, or are you looking at other aspects of the aviation industry other than flight crew? But did you have to be a christian to get into this place, or are they ok with taking non-believers?

I always wanted to fly helicopters meself, but when I took the tests for the Fleet Air Arm I was rubbish.

Thanks guys.
Codename and FD called it on the nose. Thats exactly what it is.
Taw: LETU is a predominatly Christian campus. Manditory church requierements and all that. But its also rated number 23 in the nation on an education basis.

Thanks everybody!
