Harry Potter

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Harry Potter

The new Harry Potter movie came out. WHOO HOO. I saw it. It is the best movie I've ever seen. I give it an A+. What about you.

please God let me die now before I have to see another Harry Botter film. Or give me a time-machine so I can go back a few years and shoot JKR so she doesn't write those dreadful books.

I have to take the sprog next weekend

I am not going to watch it.

I wish I had a choice - my wife loves it.

Not for me I'm afraid.

It wasn't bad at all I guess. Best of the 4. But not the best movie I have ever seen, not by a long shot. Wouldn't make a top fifty.

"Well, I see your Schwartz is as big as mine."

It's funny because it is my last name.

Don't have to go. Munchkin is far too young for it.

I saw the film, it wasn't nearly as bad as the other two. Thank heavens they had the sense to *SPOILER* cut the Quidditch (sp?) matche at the begining *END SPOILER* from the film.

As usual Radcliffe and Grint were typically shocking and poor Watson had to try and bring the standards up on her own. I swear, they'd save millions of pounds/dollars/whatever they use if they'd made a CGI Potter. That would have expressed more emotion than Radcliffe who is as wooden as his Firebolt.

With all his complaining and moaning, I have a sneaky suspicion, that our Taw is a closet Harry Potter fan, and just doesn't want anyone to know.

@Fd: That would be rich, very rich indeed. Most likely, he will protest that Barry Hotter is some kind of kufr thing.

Post Mon Nov 28, 2005 12:16 pm

I can see most of you don't like Harry Potter.

Post Mon Nov 28, 2005 12:50 pm

FD: I really don't although to be fair I haven't read the books either. The Mrs and kids like it though, esp. Mini-Taw who bought into the whole HB merchandising thing.

fleisch, you'll prob find there's a big Harry Botter split between the younger TLRers and us old folk, but I bet FD has a stash of HB around in his beard somewhere. I guess the magic of Bogwarts is lost on old curmudgeons like me. You go on and have a good time, don't mean to bring you down too much from your HB high

Taw, you should pick up the books they are a quick read. I have enjoyed them.

Post Mon Nov 28, 2005 2:18 pm

*Points and laughs at Taw then sobers* A few friends are going to see it later this week and they are dragging me along, mainly because I haven't been to the cinema in months. Well the special effects should be good, and the story should be diverting if nothing else .

I've seen it.

I'll give it a solid 'meh'.

Spent half the time noticing things cut from the book.

I dunno how clear it'll be to someone who hasn't read the books, the whole thing seemed rather disjointed.

Eh, it looked good though..
