Some Gamers take things too seriously!!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Some Gamers take things too seriously!!

Linky Its so sad and stupid when people get this caught up in the gaming world.

oh brother,whats next!

WTF? This is so sad.

Why is it that whenever I try to post a picture as part of a post or my sig, it never works?

Wow.... just.... wow....

Gaming is an escape from reality, and these people are killing over it? People like these give all other gamers a bad name.

OMG WTF!!! God that is sooo sad! Over a GAME!!! Somepeople need to get a life

True, this is terrible.

I understand China has plans to make laws over "gaming theft".

It may get worse if they don't do something soon. WOW is going to be released to them soon and that will no doubt be more popular than whatever it was this guy was playing.

You know what I think? I think this has practically nothing to do with gaming and almost everything to do with the fact that the perp is f*cking loco. People who lead stable, well-balanced lives don't go off and stab other people unless something really, really crazy happens. Here we see a person who is quite obviously not well-balanced. If we were living in some other time he would have stabbed the other guy over a "stolen chicken" or something like that. The game may have been a trigger, but it wasn't the cause. The cause was insanity. Period.

Dude....dont show that to my dad (he mite think im like that )Sure i can get up-set in a game but...it's just a GAME FOR HEVANS SAKE

GFX AND GAMING

Post Wed Jun 08, 2005 6:27 pm

This had nothing to do with the guy being wrapped up in his game. If the person has an anger problem and a really short temper and does things on impulse then even the simplest things like accidently stepping on his toes or slamming a door into him could set him off. And the thing that just happend to set him off was his game.

Heres a question:

Are gamers seemingly the only ones who recognize that fact that gaming is not the cause of violence but merely the trigger for a preexisting condition or, are we all trying to subconciously trying to explain away are habits as harmless.

Sorry, but this is what I get for being the child of a Phycologist.

Evan: The latter

i agree with what alpha said.

Once again out will come the lynch mobs who have it in their heads that games are demon spawn turning innocent people into psychotic murderers. At least Chengwei doesn't try to excuse his behaviour by saying that the game made him do it per se.

@evan d
Both, I reckon.

it wasn't even a real sword why get angry over that (and who would pay money for a virtual sword anyway) sounds to me like stupidity on multiple fronts, that makes the rest of us gamers look like sh*t.

Post Thu Jun 09, 2005 9:05 am

I dont get who would pay for anyhting virtual but its pretty common. If I rember right they sell WoW stuff over ebay
