About ginger beer.....

I grew up in a country town and my dad used to make his own Ginger Beer.. alcoholic (of course)..and he used to make it for Christmas.. one year he decided to make it a bit more potent.

After the "brew" had been made he bottled it all up.. and stacked in the laundry.. coming up to Christmas it was really HOT!!, (as it can get in the country), and we had guests coming to stay at our place... so I got moved to the laundry to share it with the ginger beer. Now it was a fair sized laundry.. but putting a bed in it (albeit a small bed for a kid .. ME ), meant that the door wouldn't open properly and with all the hot weather the place was like an oven by day.. and would cool down fairly slowly at night.

Anyhow.....

A couple of days before chrissy.. we got a huge storm at about dusk.. or just before.. somewhere around 6 at night maybe in the evening more...,

the temperature went down pretty quickly.. so the house was opened up (including the laundry) to enjoy the cool.. We were sitting down to dinner .. when there was a bang from the laundry.. my old man said "what the hell was that!!"..., as there were a couple more, by the time we got to the laundry.. it was all go.. bottles blowing everywhere.... glass and Ginger Beer everywhere.. and more going off as we came in..... lol

Funny thing is I still love ginger beer..

*Steps from shadows* Thanks Para and thanks everyone . I will make an exception and not lurk in this thread, it's the least I can do . As for the GB, so far I have received a substantial stockpile of the stuff (not including Final's addition ), with more to come (hopefully). Here is a picture of my current stash . As for being 8, that's in "Rabbit" years, so I can understand your perplexity. We Rabbits count out years differently, so every one of our years is equal to three human years. That should sort things out for you . And I will take your advice to heart Harrier; my own experiments in attempting to create the Rabbit-God's Personal Holy Libations have been embarrassing at best . As for today, nothing interesting to report yet, but I'm being dragged out to some seedy "pub" for dinner in a few hours. No sushi for Esky . Ah well, there's always next year...
