don't you fond those bread machines give the bread a rather sweet taste? convenient as they are, i find there's no real substitute for a traditional oven. And for flat breads like pittas and naan and chapatis, I possess the finest tandoor in all Tawakalnistan!

The bread machines can also be used to process the dough and then you can form it in any shape you want to bake in the oven. It even comes with a pizza dough rescipe.
Note, traditional means were to use a big mixer with a bread hook and you had more work to do, incuding neading it and let rise then punching it down.

fyi Tawakalnistan has a large area, given it's limited population.
lazy FD; bread hooks are the way to do it properly! traditional methods are best, although we do possess a bread machine for convenience. Mrs Taw uses it, I stick to ovens. Ever thought what might happen if all this technology fails? Mrs Taw's bread machine is even connected to the interweb, wtf for? My gas oven plods on regardless, besides you can see gas flame so it must therefore be safer and better.
And everyone who's tried it agrees that my traditional bread (split tin and bloomer) has the edge on Mrs Taw's genetically engineered microwave bread or whatever the hell it is. not that that's necessarily intrinsic to the equipment, more that I'm just ace at everything!
