Where are they now???!

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Because then we would all be calling each other by our names and not our call sign. And you have to have a call sign, Pilot!

This thread brings a tear to my eyes *sniff*

It's good to hear from all the "long-but-not-really-forgotten" members!
@MS: I received your email about MSN, but I don't have any free time now to chat (travelling in Australia). How did the books sales go? You send me the first chapter once, it was pretty well written if you ask me!

what became of the many strange straggly lot that provided such and entertaining experience back in the early days of TLR

Can it wolfy!

Perfectly understandable, Wiz. We can catch up some other time in the future, I plan on sticking around here for much longer than last time. (Although my job situation is about the change drastically so that might have some influence). As for the book, ah, the company (which was in Austrailia by the way) went bankrupt so it never really got off the ground. I was thinking about going back and rewriting it and offering it to a US based publisher but I just don't have the time.

"Mods", or "mods", that is the question .

Post Wed Aug 09, 2006 6:10 am

OMG, Doyler! It certainly has been a long time ago! Glad to see you made your way back here, welcome!

Yeah, lots of changes since then and even more changes planned for the near future. The idea is we're going to implement new forum software very soon (yes, this time for real ) and we're going to rewrite the entire site, so things are going to change and improve dramatically. We'll keep everyone updated once we have more news to share on this topic.

Again, welcome back D!

Post Wed Aug 09, 2006 5:17 pm

Hey hey hey! Who're these old geezers?

Post Wed Aug 09, 2006 11:47 pm

people who were around before you, and even before me (in a way) Most of these members predate the launch of FL, and played and discussed Starlancer, and what Freelancer "might" be (you should remember that FL was in development for a very long time...) I wasn't a member then, I just used to lurk and d/l SL mods and utilities and send Bargib and Tach an occasional email that they'd ignore.

A lot stopped posting after FL was released due to the mass influx of new members, but many carried on contributing for about a year or so after. Although we still attract excellent members, I have to say that i think the overall standard of discussion on the forums was better back then.

I was a lurker through most 2002 then joined in early '03. We had some good times back in the day but then I guess i got burnt out.
It used to be we'd start a topic up and by the time you refreshed the screen somebody would of posted a reply to it already...

Im kinda curious to see what this new site overhaul will do.
