Bloom.....err...Bond! James Bond

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Bloom.....err...Bond! James Bond

Well, I create this thread for some news, but also as an attempt to let the 'look a likes' get back on track, as people can bash out whatever they think about Bond!

Here is the meat of the story though:

Orlando Bloom is set to play a young James Bond in a prequel to the long-running action movie series. The Pirates Of The Caribbean heart throb has confirmed that he is in talks to take the secret agent role in Young 007, Hello magazine has reported.

The actor told Sky Movies: "I love the idea, in principle, as he can be far more adventurous and do more stunts.

"This is as near as I think I will get to playing the grown-up James for the next 20 years."
The first Young 007 movie will be based on new novel Silverfin and will be set in the '30s. It will follow the young Bond from school at Eton, England, to his uncle's house in the west Highlands.

As for the other Bonds - i think that (apart from Lazenby) the actors reflect the era they played perfectly:
Connery - Suave, sophisticate - 60's gentleman, with good innuendos.
Moore - Sleazy, slimey - 70's - ridiculously great innuendos.
Dalton - Dark, disturbing, lack of compassion - late 80's, early 90's (to me represents the bond flemming wrote about)
Brosnan - Cool, headset, strong willed, compassionate but also resolute

Thats my take, I know people will disagree. As to my fav, Connery - but Brosnan comes right on his heels. I also think Dalton did a good job - he isn't my fav, but I think he represented the books character better than Moore.

Your right, i disagree, Roger Moore then Pierce Brosnan. As for this little revelation, this is a crime against James Bond. Orlando Bloom still enjoys bitty! He looks like a sissy girl he can't play bond!

I will make a point of not watching this bond movie.

i want to see him get shot repeatedly, and in the film

its true...Orlando bloom looks like a woman in every single bloody one of his films. And coming from a guy with hair past his shoulderblades, that's saying a lot.

And besides, he's a fricken pansy any way you go about it.

Orlando, james bond.... i am so glad i stopped watching the series

I couldn't take Orlando Bloom seriously as Bond since my 12 year old daughter has pictures of him all over her bedroom. He's too young. Bond has to be at least 35 years old. Otherwise there's no way he'd have the charm and knowledge that a seasoned assassin would have. Sorry, can't accept Orlando Bloom. Now, Johnny Depp, that would make one hell of an intersting Bond. In fact, if nobody accepts Denzel Washington as the best new Bond, my vote's for Johnny Depp.

Christan Bale would make a good bond... Yeah i can go with that.

The more I think of it, the more I think Johnny Depp would be a phenomenal Bond. My vote's for Depp.

Christian Bale's the guy from Equilibrium, right? He'd make a fantastic Bond!

Heh, Depp...the best actor employed by hollywood, but one can't watch any of his movies anymore without thinking:
You think this wise, boy? Crossing blades with a freelance journalist?

Gotta look past that Wilde. Have you seen "Neverland"? It almost seems that whatever part you give him, he'll take it to an extreme that is beyond a regular actor's part. So, back on topic, it's either Denzel or Depp for the next Bond in my book.

I think Bale is set to play the next Batman..im pretty sure of it...I think a great Bond would be clive owen..he was in King Authur..as Authur..hes great for it..plus he has the accient...

Bale is the next battyman.

Denzel would be better then Depp hehe "Crossing blades with a english spy". but i cant see denzel sleeping around with a bunch of women, i can see depp doing that.

Still i think bale would be the best choice, or in the begining of equalibrium the partner bale kills, his actor is fairly good. And the guy who acted tank from the matrix, i dunno he jsut seems to good for it.... Ah yes tank, the one good think from the matrix

yeah, I know Boscoe. I haven't seen Neverland yet, but I really want to. The guy is an amazing actor...even as a pirate with eyeliner

Got to stick with Moore and Connery only. No one else can be better. Note on the Never say never movie. It was a remake, albeit better, of thunder ball also made by connery.

Learn how to read guys

And the article doesn't mention him saying that he thinks that he should be at least 20 years older to seriously compete for the role as THE James Bond.

So, he's not going to be the old James Bond, he's in talks to play the young one.

As for the old one: I never heard anyone mention Rusell Crowe...How about him playing the part?
