say what? is too.show me where it says otherwise, or else if this gets removed i will complain
Complaining won't get you far. Okay, I'll explain this to you as simply as I can. the underdogs provides licensed and copyrighted software developed by other studios and it provides this software without permission of these studios to the general populace. In other words...it's as illegal as Kazaa. What sometimes muddles the issue is that the underdogs does also have some (and I stress the some) legal programs/games that it also provides. Most people I talk to use the argument of, "Well but we can't find these games for sell anywhere...therefore it MUST be legal to download them." Until 40 years has passed and the copyright is up for renewal, the underdogs has no legal right to host those games.
Now, as a practical manner, you may be right, most companies don't care if these games are hosted by the underdogs but that doesn't make it legal. Until the underdogs has the express written consent of such companies their files are illegally being shared. The discontinued argument is pathetic...If I copyright a new design for a jet engine and then produce 500 of them and then decide I'm never going to make another it doesn't mean you can come along and make my copyrighted design for free and give it to the public. That's not legal.
Merc for hire...but only if you can afford it.
