Cooking Anyone?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Cooking Anyone?

And now for something completely different…

Any one here like to cook? It is a fast growing hobby of mine and I am really enjoying it. I do the cooking for my wife and I and I have started hosting dinner parties with friends and family. I am always looking for new things to expand my menu of sorts, and I am very willing to share some easy and fast dishes with anyone who asks.

Would anyone like to trade recipes?

I have:
Chicken Quesadillas
Chicken Parmesan
Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo
Red Clam Sauce over Pasta
Tartar Sauce
Cocktail Sauce

Just to name a few.

Hmmmmm Cooking, well my experience with cooking holds a chance equation, 1:20 to be exact.

explanation, 1:20 people can eat a dinner from my ahnd, and won't have to visit the hostipal for a throrough research on what the bloody hell happened with his body.

At least you try locutus...that's commendable...the most I've ever made is Kraft Dinner. And microwavable burritos.

My dad always said "If you can read, you can cook". To a certain extent he's right. I have read a few recipes in my time and made some pretty decent food. But I wouldn't say that I cook. I don't really like doing it and I can't seem to derive much (if any) pleasure from watching people enjoy those particular fruits of my labours. Still, if I really needed to make myself something I'd know what to do.

Glazed Bacon and Eggs with Fried Pancakes.

First get atleast two pans ready
Then once pans are ready, cook the bacon 6 for 10-15 minutes.
Halfway through, glaze the bacon with your favorite syrup.
Boil or fry some eggs.
Once eggs are done, peel add salt mustard.
Cook pancake batter with LOTS of oil on the pan.
TaDa! My favorite morning dish!

Any two (or more) foods can be combined in some way to make a tantalizing meal. Bacon and string cheese? most definetly. The Only possible exceptions are desserts and some breakfasts. Otherwise it's possible. Most of my cooking is like this, quite similar to my guitar playing. I'll take what I have at my disposal, what I feel like doing and what I can do, try it and then see what happens. Never to remember what I just did. Anyone else cook this way, completely improvised?

Edit: BTW, tortillas, cheese and any kind of meat, vegetable combined with some hot sauce makes some good stuff.

I used to cook up some really nice Cajun recipies like sauce piquante (can't remember exact name) and Paddy's Old-Skool spicy chicken. Those were good days. Now I have a student loan and eat off paper plates. Oh for the days where I could groan "Muuuuuuuuuuum....what's for tea?"
