Well if you are going to do this then LAy down a strict Policy on Taboo topics. That way it IS fair for all. If something is Offensive to someone then either dont post or get locked. Im sick and tired of seeing all the threads I would considered offensive getting past and I am not able To post MY opinions which would be considered offensive. SO make it fair. Lay down a STRICT code of conduct.

Clarity would be a good idea. At least then there won't be any misunderstandings.

Alpha i disagree. Everything can be offesnive to someone, and if it offends you give yourself a bit to calm down. make a good logical, sound argument and present that.

But where do you draw the line at offensive? This site promotes bloody, Teen rated games. That's offensive to some. Some Christians have the idea that it is sacriligious to colonize/explore space, so couldn't sycho warrior's thread about discoveries on the moons of saturn and dark matter be interpreted as offensive? All in all, it will end up being what the mods find offensive. And some of you guys aren't exactly unopinionated

Right now, I think the rules are fine: keep politics, religion, and race oriented issues out of the thread. If you can't post without bringing those things in, don't post .

Other subjects, are coming to light, that may need to be added to the list. Most of you may remember the femisist thrreads and the major heat that came from them. It was then decided, no more as it created heat big time. Over time, things change, aditudes change and maybe topics in question could be changed, but, there may also be topics added to the no, no list as they spark too heated a debate for the time being.

I haven't, but that's only because as long as I've been here there haven't been any threads dealing with homosexuality as an issue in itself.

never said anything to anyone that I regret...and have never refused to post something that someone submitted...

I don't have a clue what I have done to any of you to cause this kind of attitude and trouble, but I do know that we provide the Off Topic Forum as a service to the community...
It's here for everyone to enjoy and not here to destroy...
If it gets abused what choice do we have?
We want to move forward and make this the best site we can within our means.
