I am sure that 99.9% of the TLR-members did NOT want you to "sign off" (Chips said). But your reaction - that I understand from a psychological point of view - is a sad illustration of one main problem here in the OT-Forums: You Moderators participate at the debates, but cannot separate your role as a Mod from your personnality (yes, a mod of a site must have some split personnality
). Participation ni debates is most welcome AS LONG AS you don't mix your personal opinion and your behaviour as a Moderator. A Mod should not "explode" because of a silly, bad or aggressive post. A Moderator has to moderate his emotions too. And he should never (NEVER !) give the impression that his behaviour AS A MOD is a reaction out of his personal feelings or opinions.
You "signing off" looks like (and some of you even named it) as a CONSEQUENCE of this discussion. Why do you take these discussions so personally, why do you think critizism is a personal attack (I know there are some personal attacks; just name it - then ignore and forget) ? Why do you give the impression that your reaction should be a PUNISHMENT to the community ? Revenge ?
If it is NOT meant like that - then simply come back. Everybody has the right to be in a bad mood sometimes
I am not the only one, other members of the TLR-community wrote it in other words here or in other threads too: "we don't need no education we don't need no thought control" (Pink Floyd - you remember ?) , we just need moderators who jump in IF there is REAL flaming and not if THEY presume there COULD be flaming.

There really is no reason to destroy anything here. True, I am not as pissed off as i was last night, but i still am furious about this thread. I keep seeing people questioning others on the Nazi-Mod issue. This thread is the sole proof. A ****ING ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY on what is deemed "offencive" threads. Offensive to who? The almight Microsoft? they could care less about an *unofficial* fan site. The ratings board? They would just amp up the rating. Whoop-de-****ing-do. Simon Cowell was the best thing to happen to humanity. We need more of that man. Kids today have waaay to much self esteem. they're spoiled, coddled little brats who got too much leeway from the society that spawned them. Every kid under 13 (minus a few) have been shielded from the truth of the world, and by the time I'm the boss, they're gonna get a rude awakening.
A zero tolereance policy? A great way to instill your beliefs on other people forcibly. And **** like that makes me sick. I know i have said that I was leaving, but I lied. I went back to lurking. But I realised that I am only one man. I shouldn't try and force what i believe on others. My views on homosexuals, racism, sexism and all discrimination and in all fairness, should be allowed to be expressed, but any mention of the words homosexual, George Bush or Nigger will have the thread locked. Look I just said all three, but ten bucks says this will carry on, and is proof that I will not make a difference on this site. For those unhappy, voice your concerns, then leave it be. That's the new approach I'm taking. Again, I will still be here for the fan fiction, but OT has gone too far downhill for any form of divine salvation. If divine salvation exsisted in my mind that is.

Well relating to the none appreciates things nowdays was the whole point behind the off topic closing. No one knows what they got till its gone maybe if everyone jsut got a taste of it. They would realize.

Alas, I have been forced to make a comment about the current problems. All because I wish to comment on something hardly related without making something completely unrelated. (If that made any sense).
Jabez, stop making new aliases. At least next time be more creative with the alias creation, and don't create one just for that post.
Back on topic. If any of you have noticed, I've stayed out of these kinds of threads because one leads to another. Complaining about the problem of bad posting was one thing, and that only deserved one thread. Instead it got what, seventy? Now we're onto the topic of "Nazi mods"? Granted I have my displeasures with some of the moderation staff's actions here, but none of them require such an outburst. They absolutely did not require so many different threads and this sudden exodus. If you would all get your heads back in the game here and start making reasonable posts, you could find that it will ease your pain and maybe even be beneficial to your cause (should the staff do something wrong again). My point here is, and if you read nothing of what I say in my entire lifetime here, read this now: Sure, there may be problems with others, but they aren't going to be solved in such a manner as this. Get back to what you were doing, and fix it without pointing fingers, try your best to mend your ties with these people, bring this site back to its feet. Remember the days when you were proud to be a member of TLR's OT group? I certainly don't with all this. Since I returned from my summer "hiatus", all I've seen from this place is childish fighting and arguing over power... a state I never thought nor wished TLR would ever be in. I won't be leaving any time soon, this place is just too freaking addicting, so you can expect to see a good amount of me around. Just remember, this can be repaired. Some things can't but this can. I'm asking very little of the mods compared to what I'm asking of the posters. My fellow posters, calm down. TLR is family, maybe not related, maybe not well known, but this place used to be a close knit group of people freely discussing maybe not whatever they wanted, but what they did discuss was great. I'm done with this, I don't want to have to post in any more "Problems with TLR" threads or the like.

For months the Coalition and the Alliance battled for supremacy in the OT for few years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of posters.
Seriously, the only solution I see to stop this rantings is a full fleged revamp. Close OT. This bickering has gone far enough from Plain Criticism To personal attacks which intently ricicule others by using pun's. I am quite surprised to actually see taw comment's since I haven't been around this forum for a long time due to real-life commitments. I was actually hoping this Issue was resolved the last time I logged in. Seems it is indefinite that things will go on. Since my posting activity here is minimal, I haven't got enough evidence over anything. But I can only hope things settle down.

I'm Sorry about all the problems and arguments that have been happening lately.
We apologize and accept responsibility for not seeing it coming and not doing something about it sooner and also for a few things we shouldn't have said.
We are trying to find a solution that will be beneficial to everyone.
