Great! Even cell phones can get viruses now.
This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I was watching ABC news last night when I heard about cell phone viruses. And I remember thinking to myself, WTF? I know we've all herd of computer viruses, but my God! Cell phones! But apperintly it's true, even your cell phone can get viruses now. Some can run up your wireless bill tremondously, by calling premium servace numbers without you even knowing about it. Some, send your phone's number to the forty year old fat guy living with his mom who created the virus, giving him complete controle of your cell phone. Others install themselvs on your cell phone and drain the battery by using Bluetooth technology to make copies of itself and send it to other phones. But I just thought this friendly warning could help out a few of you. There is cell phone virus protection software, but I don't know what it's called or where to get it. But what are your thoughts on this?
naw, you don't say...
how to avoid getting viruses: a guide for dummies :
1. Don't open any attachments from random spammers you've never met
2. Delete any emails in your inbox titled "RE: Virus"
3. Don't download corrupted files off the internet or a free downloading service (you can usually tell by the WARNING sign that pops up on your comp)

hmmm, iPod virus *rummages through files, finds certain program, starts typing* hehe.
Actually mobile devices don't affect me much, seeing as I'm 14 and the most mobile device I have is... well... my broken walkman. Maybe a guitar tuner? (NOOO, the guitar tuner virus!). Besides, checking email or posting on TLR on the go is lazy, I'd rather be sitting down eating swiss cake rolls while I do so. Mobile phones using the internet make no sense to me, you can't truly multitask or escape from reality, which is why I use computers anyway.
And, as my final comment, would it be possible to create a virtual PC on a cell phone. Could I potentially be in art class playing Battlefield: Vietnam?

Oh great, now we can get GBA viruses. Next you'll be hearing about a Nintendo DS virus, (Which is in my opinion, the best handheld ever created.) Just great, soon I'll have to pay for Stop-Sign on my DS!
And sorry for bringing up old news, but last night was the first I've ever heard about it. I don't watch the news that much, I just happened to be in the living room when it was on.

iPod virus? From what i've seen amongst my friends, they break often enough that a virus isn't neccesarry. A fellow came into school yesterday with one that had broken, two days after purchase. It had frozen, and stopped playing music, and accepting all commands. It could not be turned off, and the built in batteries could obviously not be removed. All that could be done was to wait hours and hours for the battery to run down. All technology has a fatal flaw somewhere. Perhaps digital media players are only next in line.
