Bliss is often used to describe escapism, so no. The power of the feeling transcends language, but happiness would be the closest term.

When did I ever say you have to give up physical pleasure? I said that living purely to feel physical pleasure is the act of an animal, not a human. That is not the same thing as promoting asceticism at all. Furthermore, does it not seem self-evident that you can't find peace and happiness if you are suffering? So you want to leave behind suffering, to go beyond it, to rise above it, right? What is it to rise above something? Transcendence. So your problem with the statement is...?

Also...accepting transcendence? When have I ever said that?

And i never did say "Guide people down the path of transcendence", what I said was merely a promotion of the idea of a teacher--one who spreads wisdom, but more importantly leads students to find their own insights into Life, the Universe, and Everything.

I would love to address the comment on God etc, but that is getting into religion and the mods would beat me.

I've dedicated my life to acquiring £1,000,000. With this I can get a yacht and be free, and never have to work again.
I like to give my life an attainable meaning and purpose, rather than searching for something that doesn't exist.

Wilde, say it like it is - they are for illegal pirate copies.

@No-one in particular, just stating my view!
I will never understand why people think its okay to get things for free illegally, whilst others actually pay for it, hence ensuring that more is produced as well.

Kind of saddens me that so many find it okay to freeload off of the internet piracy part.......whats even worse is the 'but I can't afford it otherwise' crap excuse that some feel justifies there actions. Its real pathetic when you have to read that (which sometimes you do). Would you nick em from a store because you can't afford to buy them? If the answer is no, then you shouldn't download them.
