KOTOR 2, Yes!!! *Contains Spoilers*

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

I am an american Xbox owner and I am getting it for my pc. BTW parabolix the Xbox controller is one of the best controllers ever made. I also own PS 2 and I cant stand the controller. but the WORST controller ever made is the Gamecubes. that makes me shudder. The black and white buttons on the xbox controller are great because it jsut feels right hitting black to go to grenade and white to turn on flashlight (or whatever its set too. its perfect in my opininion.) And the original Xbox is great for big hands. but I wouldnt recomend it for little kids or little hands. it can dwarf a little kids head. LOL

The MS controler works pretty well for KOTOR. So, the X-Box can eat it's heart out.

only one genre of games does the xbox controller have probs with. Fighters.

*shudder* KOTOR 2 has been 'X-Boxed' If the interface was anything as appalling as the first game I am going to simply ignore it. I have a keyboard and mouse, dammit! I demand to be able to use them! (If anyone has KOTOR PC version you'll know exactly what I mean.)

lol, you sound sooo Jolee
but it should be "I'm entitled", instead of "I demand"
And yes, the PC control rocks. Ofcourse, I have no idea what the X-Box controls are like, since I don't own one...

I am realllly getting tired of waiting. I wish they could just beam them into the stores. There is only the $10 pre buying so far.

Can someone who doesn't mind risking naff PC controls please tell me if they are anything like KOTOR 1? It would be a great help. That is, of course, when it's available.

I bought it yesterday actually, I just landed in the Telos prison. I am torn between going light or dark, light is cool cause of the healing but dark is so much more cool. For some reason the characters in the game are also very torn between em. To build relationship with Kreia so shes on the same side as you, you have to be light, if your dark your relationship with her decreases. Such a shame too shes kinda cool. I cant wait to repair HK-47 .

Got it, see you in 2 hours
Actually been looking all ovre for it. No one had it. just happened to stop at a EB Games, they had 2 copies, that was all. No big display or anything. No one else around had it. Strange.

Note in the readme file -
---------------------------
Joystick and Gamepad Issues
---------------------------
Gamepads and joysticks are not supported in STAR WARS KNIGHTS
OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II.

Sub Note ** It needs 128mb Video Ram to run smothly. I am running 64 and had to scale back the graphics.

Note 2 KOTOR 2 installed, is 3.629Gb on your hard drive. ouch!

Note 3*** In the PC version, save offten. It will crash at some point. I have 3 times so far, never in the same place though.

I've yet to have a crash. But your advice is noted.

Meh, it crashes occasionally, most games do (), but the performance in the outdoor areas on Dantooine is abyssmal. KOTOR1 is the same though, so I guess that it is a problem with the engine... or with my PC (not bloody likely! ). After all, there is far more grass, etc, etc to render on Dxun and the game runs perfectly there.

Meh, everything crashes at some point. Explorer.exe on this machine crashes about once every week for me. and Starlancer crashes on occasion. first time it crashed was when i kill petrov on the last mission. I killed him at the EXACT moment he jumped out. i dont think the engine could handle the physics of jumping 20k or so ship fragments and just crapped itself.

I never got the chance to Play KOTOR. from screeines, reviews and cartoons i have seen it looks like fun.
KOTOR Humour

The crashes are up to 5 now. I have to save more. Didn't a couple areas and lost 2 hours worth of work and have to do it again. Other than that, not a bad game. Love the polar area.

Update - Restarted the game with a diferent char. no crashes so far. Anyone playing it with 128 or better graphics? I had hoped 1gb ddr ram would off set 64 mb Vram
