Blizzard

Blech,10-14 inches of snow here in Northeast PA already probably 5 inches, can someone tell me when this is gonna end?!

I am jealous - wish we got that! Mind you, if we did, I bet we would lose all power, phone, transport, water, gas, electricity, roof, walls, and floor to our houses. Over in blighty, a light dusting (under 1cm) prompts alerts that no-one should travel unless its 100% necessary......and invariably somewhere loses power! When it gets to a few cms.....the country grinds to a halt!

Do you remember Feb 2003 Chips? I don't know what it was like up your way but down south we had about 1 inch of snow and everywhere had stopped. It took me 6 hours to drive 4 miles!

A 1.5 foot (18 inch!!!) snow drift has materialized on the front path of my house. Guess who has to shovel it?

Honestly, people. I don't know why you make these "It's so cold" threads. In a winter-weather-based pissing-contest, I'll always win.

...Unless there are some Alaskans or Siberians I don't know about here. Now those guys make my weather look tropical.

Love the cold and snow. Walking through snow covered woods is my most favorite thing to do. That and watch the nuts run to the stores at the first sign of a snow flake.

The news said there was going to be a huge blizzard, all of the suburban schools closed... for about two inches. This is nothing, my snowblower hardly worked because there wasn't enough snow. You could run with the thing and clean up. I wouldn't doubt it if the 'burbs closed tomorrow too.

Well, so much for the so called snow our weather guys predicted. Nothing but blue skys, dry air and a lot of static shocks.
