Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Not too long ago I finally picked up Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and all I can say is....... wow. I would even go as far to say that this is one of the best games of all time! To keep it quick, here.
Pros
+Everyone thought MGS2 was a graphical masterpeice, and this compleatly blows it out of the water.
+If you remember from the first 2 MGS games, when you were cornered by multiple guards most of the times the smackdowns you recieved wern't pretty. But now with the addition of the CQC system, you can fling one guard into another on the opposite side of you, and using the knife in CQC is satisfying too.
+The AI in this game could probably sometimes pass off as real human biengs.
+There are lots of intresting characters, like we have come to expect with most MGS games. I liked the Cobras the most though, The Pain, The Fear, The End, The Fury, The Sorrow, The Boss.
+NO NAKID RAIDEN!!
+For the first time in a MGS game, the story actually makes sence.
Cons
-The controls are starting to feel dated. You can shoot in first person view, but you still can't move while doing it.
-This gave me a slight problem... the camera. I am used to having complete control of the camera like you do in Splinter Cell or Prince of Persia, so it took some getting used to.
-The script writing is atrocious. Here is an example. Colonel- We've been given the go-ahead for the Vertious Mission.
Snake- The Vertuial Mission?
Colonel- No the Vertious Mission.
do you see wtf I'm talkin about?
Most of these cons can be easly overlooked, so I would give this game a ten out of ten. I would highly recomend anyone picking this one up for the PS2. But I mainly want to know what you think about this game.
sorry about the spelling, computer problems again, had to restore my system so I havn't put my spell check back on yet.
