I played on Yahoo! once... many years ago when I was attending secondary school. I was winning, and when the other player realised that he was going to capture his queen he wouldn't complete his move. Because of we hadn't set a time limit, and I had to go to class, I was forced to forfeit. Needless to say, it soured my attitude towards online games.

Lets not get into a debate over sigs please. Alpha_leader, do us a favor though, and down size it to a quarter , if you will. It will be easyer on us Dial uppers.

Plus the siggy is slightly on the religious side...perhaps offensive to some people, like me, who don't exactly fit in with the Christian moral/purity code.

A note on sigs. There have been a lot on both sides of the coin. So, a little leway is going to be allowed, But, just a little. Other wise, we would have to ban all sigs, as others could be take as offencive as well. So, shall we get back to the topic of Chess?

My chem lab partner is the #9 HS chess player in the U.S. He beat me with four pieces when I had all 16, so yeah, I suck. My school is also really highly ranked in chess.

Chess is a lot like a lot of good games. It makes you think, plan and trouble shoot situations, even before they happen. Love playing against people, rather than a computer. People, make mistakes, while computers, run a program.

Very good Programms though, they beat 99% of Chess Players though.
But you are right , more fun to play against other incomplete Humans
