hmm, this reminds me of a saying...

"a friend is someone who will be the one that will bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be the one sitting next to you saying 'damn! that was fun!' "

i did not use any photoshop on this (except to cut the surrounding page off) whatsoever...just a simple edit of the URL...its fascinating how easy it actually is to name things after they are made
i mean...all teh link is to this forum is a link to the actual forum...and the name is made depending on what the url says....fascinating
did this sig make sense? email me at [email protected] to report my sense!

Truth is like faith. Once you start questioning and analyzing them, they go away. I've learned that the hard way many times over. Finalday's absolutely right, you college guys can have the syllogisms and philosophical rhetorical bull****, but real life teaches one thing. K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple, stupid)

College? A few more years before that...i'm only in grade 9

I don't know...why just hold on to the truth blindly? That's the saying "Ignorance is Bliss." Sure it's bliss, but for me there is no greater joy than knowing in every sense the truth--knowledge by analyzing, insight in every sense.

I put my sig line back in this one. Go ahead and figure that one out, then tell me what's the truth in the statement. (wishing I was there to watch his brain fizzle...)
Acceptance and faith are the opposite of ignorance. You will learn this one day, grasshopper.

Oh yes that paradox. that thing's so very very annoying...

explain it to me then; how are acceptance and faith the opposite of ignorance?

My version of acceptance and faith, is that Acceptance of things that are and are happining, and Faith that they will turn out ok. Ignorance , mearly bumps into things, without purpose.

Finalday answered it perfectly. Acceptance is living life on life's terms, not mine. It's living with harmony and humility with the world and humanity. I does NOT mean I can't do things to help and change what I can, but it's knowing the limitations of those changes, and accepting that although I might have the best intentions, that I may just be wrong, and accepting that.
Faith is hope, and faith is working for the greater good. Faith isn't necessary a religious thing either. I work very hard raising my kids, because I have faith that my actions and parenting will make their lives better. I also have faith that they will reward me in ways that only another parent can understand.
Without either of those, one is ignoring that the world doesn't revolve around themselves, and that they've ignored that hope for the future is what keeps us going and getting up each day.
That's my short synopsis of the subject.
Again K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid) Simple does not mean easy or lacking intelligence, it means that one's actions toward others is how one is perceived. Remember, the only way any of us can "see" the world is through our own perception. Over analyzing (I always loved that way that word starts with "anal" and over thinking clouds our perception. Acceptance is removing the fog we create which clouds and distorts that perception.
