Interesting topics

I've got too much time on my hands now that its holidays, and I'm running out of books to read.
When my supply of books runs out and maybe before then, I want to do some short sotry writing, having something to write about is always a problem, now I'm looking for interesting titles from which stories could be written.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

It doesn't really help me personally to be inspired with just a title, but a starting sentence. Here are some titles and stuff for you.

"The Effect of Garden Gnomes on the Population of <insert town here>"

"How I Spent my Life Sentence in Prison"

"'Dear Elvis, it's me Margaret'"

"Burning for Freedom"

Some nice openers...

I didn't know where I was, what day it was, or even who I was. All I knew was that I had my hands on a shotgun and someone was whispering "Behold the power of cheese" in my ear...

Indeed ff. One would assume that it was the same person who deleted four or five posts in this thread. Odd.

It's getting very hard to follow most threads these days with the amount of editing going on. On Topic;

The Darkness Beyond The Earth

and just a little bit silly !!!;

How my Lexmark all-in-one cost me my job at the space station

It was cleaned so the topic could continue. After all, it is about topics to write about, not "other things. "

Another title could be, "First Snow Fall"

"By the Moons Early Light"

@ Final. Since school was so long ago. What are the rules regarding capitalization, quotations, and punctuation in story titles, novels etc...

Post Mon Dec 27, 2004 7:03 pm

I presume the rules of English have not changed any. Cap the first letter of the first word of a sentence, cap all first letters of major words in a title. The Great Gatsby. Punctuation still in force. Though I have to admit, i hated English in school. Never got better than a C in because of that.
