Anyone play Wing Commander on XP Home?

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

You'll have to use a special program enabeling it to run, I'm not sure what we're using, but it works

The "Wing Commander Saga" contains WC1, 2, and 3 optomised for Windows 95, and is probably your best bet for playing these classics in XP. For WC3 and 4 there are some unofficial XP patches that have worked excellently for me. The WCSaga (only games 1 and 2 plus SO addons) can be downloaded as abandonware. As for the floppy version of WC1, you should be able to get it working with emulation software such as "VDMSound" or, as suggested, Dosbox.
