my school take an "approach for the future"

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

my school take an "approach for the future"

my school is getting some automated lunch buying system where we have to use our student ID's to buy lunch. i so despise this, it takes long enough to get through the line, but now i have to wait for people to put their id in, and almost nobody knows their own ID number (i do because its my password to the school server for my computer class...which i do nothing in all day)

they are also raising the price for stuff....i really don't like that. i remember back about two years ago when i actually get a quarter back from paying for lunch (half-way to a can of soda() so i could buy a soda every other day) now i get a nickel back...

so what are your thoughts? do any of you have the "future of cafeterias"?

thank god im no longer at school

Future? Pfft! I've had this for the past four years Wolfy. I thought my district was low tech! Just a little bit of advice though: Try to avoid the lines by getting there early or bringing your own lunch. I tried to go through the line once and I barely walked out of the line with my lunch when the period ended, and that went on for at least a week before I started bringing my own.

Yet again we become just numbers in a database.

steve, what happened to your capitcal E? it doesn't look right without it

well, the quotes were implying what you said..meaning this is so retarded...i want like retinal scans...or fingerprint scans

I logged into the profile thing and didn't feel like capitalizing, and I can't really change it. It looks so retarted. Edit: Fixed, now it looks normal.

Yeah, Wolfy, get used to waiting in line. If I had an essay to do I'd just take a pen and a clipboard with me to lunch and do it in line.

I've had the automated lunchy thingy at my school for about two years. Since I never buy school lunch (and never have, in all my 12 years in the 'public institution'), this isn't too much of a problem. Its primarily used by the school district for demographics, it allows them to track what who ate on what day, (didn't see this coming in the patriot act, did you?) to make sure that minorities are getting their share of rancid hamburgers, etc. The greatest drawback is teaching technologically incompetant adults how to run the simple touch-screen process with their greasy uneducated hands.

well my school is still low tech. You stand in line and the lunch lady gives you the food. But I dont eat it anyway. The food costs $1.75 for peace of bread, milk and what ever happenes to be for lunch that day, so I save my 1.75 and bring my own lunch...a Serbian style sandwich

Of course I have to bring an extra large sandwich..since Americans seem to have a taste for Serbian food, so I can never finnish my lunch without anyone asking for a peace, or even giving money for the whole half!!

Lunch costs $2.50 US at my school. However, any leftover food that hasn't been sold is given out free at the end of lunchtime.

I still dont get this lunch at school thing. We start early and finish relatively early and then go home for lunch and then you only go back if you have sport or extra class. You even get two breaks during the day, so you wont starve no matter what.

man...that took forever....they started using it friday...its...innifficient. usually the person at the register has two lines going at once, and alternate, one, then the other, then back, and so on. now its just one very slow moving line. damn this sucks

i did not use any photoshop on this (except to cut the surrounding page off) whatsoever...just a simple edit of the URL...its fascinating how easy it actually is to name things after they are made
i mean...all teh link is to this forum is a link to the actual forum...and the name is made depending on what the url says....fascinating
did this sig make sense? email me at [email protected] to report my sense!

Welcome to the new way of doing things, wolfy. Start bringing your own food.

You think it's bad now? Just wait until they start implanting RFID chips into your forearms to "combat truancy". It'll happen...

Post Sat Dec 18, 2004 6:39 pm

i'll die before they implant a chip into me!!!
