Friends

This is where you can discuss your homework, family, just about anything, make strange sounds and otherwise discuss things which are really not related to the Lancer-series. Yes that means you can discuss other games.

Friends

I was thinking about a school speech I made about 2 years ago, the topic friends. We all know the saying "Birds of a feather flock together" or sth like that in anyway.
I argued that this is not necesarily true and that if two people are friend tht tht does not mean that they do the same stuff e.g if John smokes and his best friend is Mike, that does not mean that Mike smokes as well or has the same habits. Are friends alike?

now I was wondering what you guys think...are friends alike...have the same habits etc....is it at all possible for people who have nothing in common to be friends?

Both of them are true. For example one of my best friends is athletic and also plays video games like crazy. I've never been on a sports team, but I am a freak when I go into a game store. Friends can be both the same and different, it changes things up, makes thing interesting. People who are totally different can be friends too, it's just harder to find things to do.

Edit: At first I thought this would be a mourning thread for one of the greatest comedy shows in history.

Christmas, is that a BF1942 mod or something?

@ff: I said "one of", the group I was pulling it from was about as large as Montana. (I personally don't think It was as good as shows like George Lopez or Complete Savages, if you know those U.S. Shows.)

well my best mate is a girl a year older than me, who likes dance n club music like me, but can't stand smoking, which is a shame seeing as I occasionally smoke... usually when very drunk or out...

an old best mate of mine at school had exactly the same interests as me, and we just drifted apart over time... god knows why...

don't worry about whether you have the same interests or not... it's always better if you can have a friendly argument about music or something...

It's quite complcated to find a friend who would be totally similar to you in all (well, nearly all) aspects. Besides, it would be a bit boring. It's good to share the same interests, but that's not a mandatory requirement. In friendship, the tolerance and acceptance of differences plays a major role. I must admit though that I better find common talk with ppl who share at least one of my interests (SciFi, gaming, metal music, etc.).
